Glow Collection is a 21-year-old thriving luxury candle brand based in Sydney. For over two decades, fragrance enthusiasts across Australia have known Glow Collection (formerly PartyLite Australia) as their go-to source for delightful scents. 

In 2023, Glow Collection started a new chapter by introducing exciting, locally-made fragrances in addition to their well-loved PartyLite scents. 

They primarily operate online via their website with a Direct-to-Customer approach and have already accumulated a sizable affiliate base. Yet, they face some obstacles when it comes to optimizing their affiliate marketing turnover.

Challenge: Need an intuitive affiliate system for their “old-school” ladies

Most Glow Collection customers are “old-school” women who have little understanding of commissions and cookies. The brand needed an easy-to-use and friendly affiliate dashboard that helped their partners promote candles without prior tech or affiliate marketing knowledge. 

“We pay the grandfathered affiliates a 22% commission, while new affiliates earn 15% based on the final cookie value (we have a 30-day cookie window). Most of these ladies don’t get it. They don’t understand how the whole concept of affiliate marketing works.”

Additionally, they encountered problems with the upcoming Klaviyo API changes and expected a smooth integration with Xero accounting software.

UpPromote made it easy for Glow Collection to move their existing group of 3,500 to 3,600 affiliates to our system. We helped them build an affiliate program with 15-22% commissions based on affiliate performance and seniority, which has generated 20% of their total income. 

We are also discussing with Glow Collection to develop a custom development that automatically connects UpPromote with Xero – an accounting software.
