Affiliate & Influencer Blueprint
We built this plan just for your brand. It shows you how to put real tracking and management behind your influencers and creators. You can send gifts and drop samples from one place, see exactly who drives each sale, and build trusted partnerships with rewards that grow as they sell.
Your profile
This is how we see your brand: streetwear that sells through creators, fans, and drops. Everything below is built around that, not copied from a template.
Why this is worth doing now
Ad costs keep going up. And paying an influencer for a post does not promise a single sale. Managing and tracking your influencer work pays off because you see the result in sales, not just views and likes.
Your brand already has hype, creators who tag you, and loyal customers. Giving them a way to be tracked and rewarded each time they post or shout you out is the natural next step.
It already works in your lane
Real UpPromote brands, closest to you first: same category, then same market. The numbers and quotes are theirs, not projections for you.

Strategy & your ideal affiliates
| Strategy | Why it matters | How it benefits your brand | Set it up with UpPromote |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pick 3 partner types | Creators bring reach. Customers bring trust. Streetwear media brings drop hype. Each one covers a gap the others miss. You need to put all 3 to the test and find out which one brings you the best results. | You reach new people through creators, sell more to warm fans through customers, and build buzz before each drop through media. More sales, from more places. | Creator Discovery: find creators and influencers on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, with audience data and an authenticity score (a check for fake followers). Sign-up form: lets proactive affiliates apply to join on their own. Customer referral: invites happy customers to share your products and earn store credit in return. |
| Pay for new customers (only) | This is the ads blind spot. With ads, you often spend the same money to get a customer to buy from you again. It adds little to no growth to your brand while draining your budget. | Every commission euro brings in a new customer, so your customer base grows and your budget goes further. | New customer commission (Professional plan and up): set one rate for new customers and a lower rate (or zero) for returning ones. |
| Offer different terms for different partner types | Each partner type wants something different. Creators want free product and a higher rate for the content they make. Loyal customers are happy with a simple link and store credit. Streetwear media wants a steady commission on sales coming from their referred traffic. One offer for all three will overpay some and underpay others. | You spend where it pays. Top creators stay loyal, customers keep shopping with you, and you never overpay small partners. | Multiple programs: each program has its own commission, sign-up rules, and payout, all in one dashboard. |
| Reward partners as they grow | A flat rate treats a creator who sells 2 pieces the same as one who sells 200. Higher rates at clear sales goals give every partner a reason to post again, and you only pay more to the ones who sell more. | Your best partners stay and sell more, and your cost only goes up when your sales do. | Auto-tier commission (Professional plan and up): set sales goals and a rate for each level, like 10% → 12% → 15%. UpPromote moves a partner up on its own when they hit the next goal. |
Streetwear / hype / lifestyle creators posting fits, hauls, GRWM, drop reactions. Fit & engagement matter more than raw follower count.
Existing buyers who already rep the brand. A large warm base that sits unused until you give them a link.
Review sites, drop-calendar accounts, niche streetwear publishers with a real audience. NOT coupon sites.
A healthy program can include coupon and deal sites later. When you are just starting, keep them limited. They can claim sales you would have made anyway, and they copy your hype codes.
Set up your programs
Four decisions, in this order. The right numbers depend on your margins and your partners, so treat these as a starting point, not a rule.
UpPromote AI agent: an AI assistant inside the UpPromote app, right in your Shopify admin. It helps you work through these steps where you set them up, so you are never stuck guessing.
UpPromote live support: real people, not bots, 24/7, with replies in under 2 minutes. Stuck on a setting? Just ask in the app chat.
1 · Create the program and set your commission
Work out your rate in three quick checks:
Kess Berlin: 10% commission, plus a flat fee per post for hand-picked influencers.
cfab: a base rate, plus tiered bonuses that do not stack, so top creators earn more without blowing the budget.
Our starting point for you: 12% on first orders, 15% for your VIP creators.
▶ Watch: How to build a competitive commission structure2 · Give each partner type its own program
Each program has its own rate, sign-up rules, and payout. Start with one per partner type:
Then add extras that keep partners pushing:
3 · Set your cookie window: 30 days
A cookie remembers which partner sent a shopper. People often see a fit today and buy on drop day. With 30 days, the creator who showed it to them still gets the credit.
4 · Choose how you pay
Pick what each partner type prefers. You can use different methods in different programs.
| Payout option | How it works | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| PayPal | Pay one partner or everyone in one click, or on a set schedule. (Professional plan and up) | Creators who want fast cash |
| Wise bank transfer | Pay straight to a bank account, in EUR or other currencies. (Professional plan and up) | EU partners without PayPal |
| Store credit | Pay as a store code they spend with you. | Loyal customers |
| Manual payout | Pay any other way you like, then mark it as paid in UpPromote. | Anything the others do not cover |
Approve commission only after your return window closes. Apparel returns are common, so you pay only on orders people kept.

Recruit & activate
You know who your ideal partners are. This is how you reach them, set them up, and turn a sign-up into a first sale.
1 · Reach out
Pick the motion that fits each partner, then send the ready template. Swap the [brackets] and write in German for your DE audience. For drops, reach out 2 to 3 weeks ahead so creators can post on day one.
Subject Earn from the fits you already wear
Subject A drop from MORE MONEY MORE LOVE, before it's out
Subject Loved your order? Get paid to share it
Subject Your link is ready, here's an easy first post
2 · Onboard & activate
A sign-up is not a sale. Give partners what they need on day one, then nudge the first post.
| Step | What to do | How UpPromote helps |
|---|---|---|
| Give them the kit | Send the link, code, drop assets, and a one-line "what to post". Creators without assets stall. | Media Gallery: one folder of photos, videos, and captions inside each partner's portal, so nothing gets lost in email. |
| Send a welcome gift | Send a drop piece on join to a promising creator. A sample in hand triggers the first post far better than a reminder. | Gift (Professional plan and up): send a product to a partner and log it with their rewards, so you see which gifts turned into posts. |
| Run the first-week emails | Day 0 welcome, Day 2 first-post idea, Day 5 to 7 nudge, Day 14 check-in. Most sign-ups need this push. | Automatic emails go out on their own at approval and payout. In-app chat lets you nudge a partner without leaving UpPromote. |
| Measure the first sale | Watch time-to-first-sale, not sign-up count. A small active group drives most of the revenue. | Reports show who made a first sale and how fast, so you spend effort where it pays. |
Track, manage & scale
This is where UpPromote is strongest. Follow the order: track every sale first, then reward partners so they keep selling. Real sales data is the best insight you can have to build a growing and sustainable marketing channel.
1 · Track
| What you see | Why it matters | How UpPromote helps |
|---|---|---|
| Every sale, by partner | Know exactly which creator or customer drove each order, click, and euro. No more guessing from a spreadsheet. | Reports: a live ranking of every partner by sales, clicks, and conversion. |
| Real numbers, net of returns | Apparel returns are high. Read your paid total after returns, not the gross, or you overpay. | A refund posts a matching minus entry, so approved and paid totals already take returns out. |
| EU invoices & VAT, your DE market | Selling from Germany means tax and invoices have to be right. This is a real edge most tools skip. | Tax & invoices: works out tax on each commission and creates EU-format invoices for every payout. |
| Ask your data anything | Reports show what happened. Asking your own questions shows why, and what to try next. Which creators bring new customers? Which drop sold best through partners? | UpPromote for Sidekick (free on every plan): ask Shopify's built-in AI assistant about your affiliates, referrals, and sales, right inside your Shopify admin. It only reads your data, it never changes anything. UpPromote AI MCP: connects your affiliate program data to your favorite AI tool, so you get insights faster, smarter, and from more angles. |
2 · Manage
| Move | Why it matters | How UpPromote helps |
|---|---|---|
| Keep the hype going | A top creator with a small win keeps posting. Reward them each drop. | Auto-tier moves top partners up a rate on its own. Bonus adds a one-off reward when they hit a goal. |
| Wake the quiet ones | Most creators go quiet between drops. A nudge before the next drop brings them back. | Filter partners by activity, then reach them with a bulk email or in-app chat. |
| Turn payout into loyalty | Paying customer-ambassadors in store credit sends their reward straight back into their next order. | Store credit: commission paid as a store code they spend with you. |
3 · Scale
| Move | Why it matters | How UpPromote helps |
|---|---|---|
| Automate the busywork | Once you trust the source, the program should run itself so the team handles only the exceptions. | Turn on auto-approve (new partners join without a manual check), auto-tier, auto-generated codes, and auto-payout (PayPal or Wise, on a schedule). |
| Add markets and tiers | When one market works, copy it. Run a program per market and let strong self-serve creators climb to VIP. | One program per market, plus auto-tier promotion, keeps growth clean. |
